Phase Wellness Tips
🩸
Menstrual Phase β€” Days 1 to 5
Rest and Restore
Your body is doing significant work. Eat iron-rich foods like beans and ugwu. Drink warm ginger tea for cramps. Gentle walks and rest are your best friends. Avoid intense exercise during heavy flow days.
🌱
Follicular Phase β€” Days 6 to 13
Build and Begin
Energy is rising naturally. Eat Vitamin C rich foods like oranges, tomatoes, and guava. This is your most creative and productive window. Start new projects and take on challenges here.
✨
Ovulatory Phase β€” Around Day 14
Shine and Connect
This is your peak. Schedule important meetings and presentations. Eat anti-inflammatory foods like fresh fish and walnuts. Your confidence and communication are at their natural highest.
πŸŒ™
Luteal Phase β€” Days 15 to 28
Slow Down and Prepare
Emotions may run higher and that is completely normal. Eat magnesium-rich foods like groundnuts and sesame seeds. Reduce salt and sugar. Gentle yoga and journaling will carry you through beautifully.
Herbal Remedy Guide

Based on published scientific research. Consult your doctor before use especially if pregnant or on medication.

🫚 Ginger Tea
Slice 3 to 4 pieces of fresh ginger, boil in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes, add honey and lemon. Start 2 days before your period. Clinical studies show ginger reduces period pain comparably to common pain relievers.
⚠ Avoid large amounts if you are on blood-thinning medications.
🌿 Turmeric Golden Milk
Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric with warm milk, a pinch of black pepper, and honey. Always pair with black pepper as it significantly increases absorption. Research confirms it reduces PMS symptoms.
⚠ Avoid high supplement doses during pregnancy. Culinary amounts are generally safe.
🌱 Moringa
Add moringa leaf powder to smoothies or soups. Rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and Vitamin C. One of the most powerful and accessible remedies for women dealing with period-related anaemia.
⚠ Avoid moringa root and bark during pregnancy. Leaves in food amounts are generally safe.
πŸ‚ Cinnamon Tea
Steep one cinnamon stick in hot water for 10 minutes. Use Ceylon cinnamon where possible. Clinically shown to help regulate cycles in women with PCOS and reduce period pain.
⚠ Use in moderate amounts. Consult your doctor if you have liver conditions.
🫘 Fenugreek Water
Soak one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds overnight and drink the water in the morning. Studies show meaningful reduction in menstrual pain with regular use over several cycles.
⚠ Avoid during pregnancy as it may stimulate uterine contractions. Consult your doctor first.
When to See a Doctor

β€’ Bleeding lasting more than 7 days
β€’ No periods for 3 or more months without pregnancy
β€’ Sudden severe pelvic pain or fever with your period
β€’ Fainting or extreme dizziness during your period
β€’ Period pain that regularly stops daily activities
